I don’t know if it’s because I’m South African and we have real problems to deal with, but I just can’t understand this preferred pronoun bullshit. It started a few years ago with a couple of weirdos online, but then it spread to social media platforms asking you to fill in your preferred pronouns. I really think the only way you can get to this point is if you have absolutely no real things to worry about.
For real. I don’t get it. I’m a dude and have been called a girl before. It happened a lot when I was younger and had long hair and wasn’t able to grow my glorious man beard. Anyway, so someone would call me ‘miss’ or ‘ma’am’ or whatever, and I’d think, hmmm, it’s time to cut my hair. I didn’t go into a fucking meltdown, cry, and then try to get the dude fired. Like, who the fuck cares.
I can sorta get if you’re a dude who dresses like a girl and wanting to be called a girl. But like, if you still look like a dude, people will say ‘he.’ I looked like a girl to some of the car guards, and they called me ‘miss.’ Should I have screamed at them? No, I laughed and went to get a haircut. Supposedly, people think they’re allowed to change this shit on the fly, so like mid-sentence, you could just decide you’re a girl now, and I must magically know? Fuck that. If you look like a dude, my brain will think you’re a dude and will call you dude pronouns. If you look like a chick, I’ll use chick pronouns.
I feel retarded for even posting this because the whole thing just sounds so retardedly simple. People caring about this shit sounds made up and fake to me, and I can only think it’s because of having to deal with real problems in SA that we don’t have time to invent things to upset us? I honestly thought that this was a fake story made up, like nobody really gives a shit about this crap, but then I saw social media platforms asking you to fill these in, and I was like… the fuck?
Nobody I know cares. So it got me thinking… is it for the AI bots? Bots wouldn’t have a gender, so it would make sense if social media is actually made up of tons and tons of bots, and they’re the ones causing this fake problem. It then spreads to a few easily influenced real people, but the huge majority of sane people don’t really give a shit. It would also explain the they/them shit. Like, I could see a bot saying, I’m not a boy or a girl, so I’ll use they/them.

I’d love for the hardest part of my day to be worrying about whether someone accidentally calls me a girl. That would mean I’m not worrying about being hijacked, shot, stabbed, whether I’ll have food this month, if we’ll have electricity the whole day, or if the water will be turned off again. Man, that sounds like heaven.
Imagine how easy it would be to wake up, have electricity, have water, have food on the table, and not be worried about murder. I’d put on my most comfy clothes and go around seeing how many people accidentally call me a girl. Sounds like fucking heaven. You dudes worrying about this shit need to sit back and appreciate how good your life actually is.
That’s all for today! Oh, before I go – Part 19 of that ’90s comic is up!
Cheers! G!
